About

golden-apples-in-silverSome of our most meaningful conversations take place around a table while sharing a meal. So, I invite you to come and sit at my table and crunch on a golden delicious apple with me. Chew on it. Meditate upon it. Digest it. Allow it to energize you while being good food for thought. The golden apple I am offering you is based upon Proverbs 21:11. In the New American Standard Bible it is translated saying, “Like apples of gold in settings of silver is a word spoken in right circumstances.”

I am fond of words. I am a former English teach who still likes to play with words. My desire is for my words to become apples of gold placed into the hearts and minds of my readers who are silver baskets. My goal is to help us see “the extraordinary” that God reveals through “the ordinary” in which we live. I search for the supernatural in the natural. I desire to relate day to day experiences in the physical realm to God’s eternal truths in the spiritual realm.

Years ago a prophetic word was spoken to me that I would go the nations. I never packed my bags to travel but I have unpacked my computer to write godly inspired words that I send to the nations with the click of a send key. The Lord is fulfilling His purpose for me through anappleofgold.wordpress.com.

The New Living Translation of Proverbs 25:11 says, “Timely advice is lovely, like golden apples in a silver basket.” The centerpiece on my table is a silver basket filled with golden apples. You are invited to munch and meditate on the words I share. Each week there is a new post on Wednesday to help satisfy your hunger for more of God.

Joyfully,
Cheryl
